My Journey as LRÉ the Artist

My name is Lara Odupitan and my artist name is LRÉ the Artist. I am a first-generation American with Nigerian roots. 
I started my brand Toyin LaTour in 2014 when I discovered self-expression through fashion design as a response to being away from my family for the first time after I joined the military right after high school. 

As a designer, I have spent nine transformative years focused on perfecting my artistic vision and choosing not to make my garments available to the public until I was confident in the quality of what I had to offer. I have now reached a point in my career where I have substantial and sustainable garments because I have been building a community of the most talented seamstresses, innovative pattern makers, and countless other brilliant minds.

Together, we have birthed garments that intertwine the realms of fashion and art.
